Who we are

Lucy Jo Koppel-Lee was taken from this world far too early. During the 107 days Lucy Jo blessed the world with her presence, she only knew love. She received it abundantly; she gave it bountifully.
 
Lucy is derived from the Latin word Lux, which means Light. Lucy Jo will always be synonymous with light. The mission of the Lucy Jo Foundation is to spread light around the world to ensure that Lucy’s legacy is solidified through acts of kindness that shine bright in perpetuity.

Spreading Lucy's Light

Dear Mom and Dad,

This week I came across a mother caring for her newborn & toddler at the hospital. Her hands were full and the little one was a little uncomfortable. Nurses asked her to quiet the baby down or wait outside where there were no seats. I helped her with the little one while she tended to her toddler, staying with her until she was done and helped her get in a taxi telling her she’s an amazing mom. Honestly this isn’t worth a share but I did think of Lucy Jo and the light she shines.

Spreading Lucy's Light
While visiting San Francisco our group had never seen or experienced a city with so much homelessness. It was heart wrenching. We passed out snacks as we walked and interacted with the homeless that were friendly and often ignored. The day we left we decided to leave behind the extra snacks, water, and shoes. We also made a reel to help share with others about how they can spread Lucy’s light too.
