Dear Mom and Dad,

This week I came across a mother caring for her newborn & toddler at the hospital. Her hands were full and the little one was a little uncomfortable. Nurses asked her to quiet the baby down or wait outside where there were no seats. I helped her with the little one while she tended to her toddler, staying with her until she was done and helped her get in a taxi telling her she’s an amazing mom. Honestly this isn’t worth a share but I did think of Lucy Jo and the light she shines.

While visiting San Francisco our group had never seen or experienced a city with so much homelessness. It was heart wrenching. We passed out snacks as we walked and interacted with the homeless that were friendly and often ignored. The day we left we decided to leave behind the extra snacks, water, and shoes. We also made a reel to help share with others about how they can spread Lucy’s light too.

Dear Lucy Jo,

I have some Bible verse cards that I left on tables at a coffee shop for strangers to find. I chose ones that focused on spreading love in memory of Lucy and spreading her light! Below are what the cards said:
"Always be humble and gentle...and love each other" (Ephesians 4:2)
"Love your enemies and do good" (Luke 6:35)
