I made luciekatter, Lucia buns for St Lucia day, December 13 and shared them with several of my neighbors and friends. St Lucia came to the starving people of Scandinavia on the prow of a Viking ship. She wore a white gown with a red sash and an evergreen wreath of candles on her head. She brought light and food to the people in the dark of winter. In the same way, may Lucy Jo’s light shine on brightly through the years.
